Meet our coaches!
Jacques
Jacques kicked off his coaching journey back in 1988, accumulating over 30 years of experience and coaching more than 1,700 athletes. He was the Head Coach at the Club de Natation Bleu et Or (CNBO) in Moncton from 2004 until 2019, and then he moved on to become the Head Coach for the Summerside Dolphin Swim Club. Jacques has been coaching Masters in the area since 2000. Under his guidance, Masters athletes have competed at Nationals and even at the Worlds Masters Championships.
On top of that, Jacques speaks both French and English fluently. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science Education and is certified through the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP). Jacques is always pumped to be around the pool.
Madeleine
Madeleine was a member of CNBO from 2007 to 2015, competing in numerous national events, including the Canada Games. From 2015 to 2019, she continued her swimming career at the University of Indianapolis, where she earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry and competed in the 2018 NCAA Division II National Championship.
Madeleine holds both a master's degree and a Bachelor of Education degree from UNB. She currently teaches full-time at École Mathieu-Martin. With experience coaching at CNBO, leading a masters group, and offering private swimming lessons, Madeleine brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to the sport.
Julianne
Julianne began her competitive journey at age four with CNBO, Julianne is now in her fourth year at Mount Allison University, where she studies Psychology and Biology while competing on the varsity swim team.
She has valuable coaching experience with the Parlee Beach Lifesaving Club and has led adult swim lessons. Julianne is incredibly enthusiastic about sharing her passion and knowledge with our swimmers.
Mathias
Mathias is a student at the University of Moncton, studying in his first year in mechanical engineering. He swam with the swim club CNBO from 2017 till 2025, where he swam at multiple levels in the east coast of Canada, and as well in Quebec and Ontario. He is very passionate about the sport, and loves to help others while guiding them to achieve their personal swim goals.
Mathias is a hard working person while being in his studies and also working as a lifeguard at the Dieppe aquatic centre during the school year. During the summer, he works as a lifeguard at the Magic Mountain waterpark where he gained a lot of experience over the many years he has been there.
